Casual spot for Indian food in the East Village with pretty well known pedigree. Jazba apparently takes inspiration from roadside restaurants from India. The menu is separated between smaller plates ("half-ticket") and larger format dishes ("full-ticket"). Service was fairly attentive and the servers did a good job describing the various dishes. Overall, I enjoyed the food at Jazba but I'm not sure if I was blown away. The two mutton curries we had were overall solid, with decent flavor. My only question is whether I'd pick Jazba over some of the other great Indian options in the neighborhood.

Decent Happy Hour menu. Cocktails were batched but tasty. Halfed portion menu is nice to try many things. We tried Golgapla and Empire Fried Chichen, not too mind blown but cure the cravings. Would come back to try more.

Melt in mouth galauti kebabs and the chicken biryani are the best you will get in NYC . For vegetarian , we ordered the Teh wala paneer and bread roll which was okay . Their Atari paneer on the other hand was really interesting and different. We also tried the Kulfa for dessert which was creamy and scrumptious. Would give 5/5 for service

An adorable and quaint restaurant. The staff are super friendly and quick. Love the staff's outfit. The menu so cool and interesting. Indian food with richness that is super delicious. Cocktails were awesome. We had golgappe with three different water sauces. Haleem made with goat was perfect and flavored. Ended with soul warming chai. Definitely recommended!

The vibes in the restaurant are cool. I love how it is decorated and the staffs outfits are cute. I went here with my dad when he came to visit because we both love Indian food. Charmed cobbler ($17 but $12 during HH) I started out with this drink which was sherry, rhubarb amaro, blackberry coriander puree, and citrus. It was really delicious and tasted fruity which I liked. Empire fried chicken ($16) Mangalorean spiced with a chip mint dish. It is pretty good and it comes in a fun serving dish. It was very small though. Haleem ($17) Slow cooked goat stew with lentils and tarftan bread. This is one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was packed with flavor and perfect for a cold night. Once again dish is tiny for the price. Green chili chicken ($28) Thai green chilis and curry leaf. Really really good spice on this chicken. It was delicious and we had it with naan. However at $28 it's a small dish. You The food here is delicious, but at these prices the portions are minuscule and two 6 footers need more food.

Have a hankering for authentic Indian street food in NYC? You have to try this place. I must admit 1 or 2 dishes missed the mark in my opinion but only by a bit. Well what do you expect when you are sitting thousands of miles from India? The manager of the restaurant told us they they have spared no expense in sending their kitchen crew to India to learn the authentic recipes. After which they put their own twist to it. The service was remarkably quick and the staff were very knowledgeable and pleasant. The restaurant has ample space, especially in the back and a what a beautiful fully stocked bar they have.

Nestled in the vibrant streets of East Village, Jazba NYC is a culinary gem that encapsulates the essence of India's diverse flavors with an unparalleled charm. From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted with an ambiance that effortlessly blends modernity with fun traditional Indian street style food cart vibe due to their amazing art all around the restaurant. One of the first things that caught my attention was their unique terminology for appetizers and main dishes - "Half Ticket" and "Full Ticket" respectively. This playful twist adds an extra layer of excitement to the dining experience, setting the stage for the culinary adventure that awaits. Under Hemant's skilled influence, the cocktail menu shines with creativity and finesse. Each sip is a delightful fusion of flavors, perfectly complementing the bold and vibrant dishes on offer. Whether you're a connoisseur or just looking to unwind, Jazba cocktails are a must-try. Speaking of the dishes, prepare to be transported across the diverse landscapes of India with each bite. From the aromatic spices of the North to the coastal delights of the South, every dish at Jazba NYC is a testament to authenticity and passion. As someone who cherishes memories of Indian cuisine from various parts of the country, I can confidently say that Jazba offerings evoke nostalgia in the most delicious way possible. What truly sets Jazba NYC apart is its commitment to delivering not just a meal, but an experience. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and, above all, the soulful food make every visit a memorable journey. Whether you're a seasoned explorer of Indian cuisine or embarking on your first adventure, Jazba promises an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you craving more. In a city known for its culinary diversity, Jazba stands out as a shining beacon of authenticity and innovation. This last time, I took 3 new friends there and they were all super impressed as well! I can't recommend it enough - do yourself a favor and indulge in the flavors of India at Jazba. You won't be disappointed.

I had Jazba on my list for sometime given that I am a huge fan of Junoon. Overall, we had a great experience, with lots of nostalgia. The concept is more casual and based on delicious street foods. The ambience is quite lovely and we enjoyed looking at the little decorations throughout the restaurant and the beautiful mural. The service was great. Our server guided us very well in terms of how much food to order. The menu is broken out into small plates and large plates. We ordered so many of the half ticket items (small plate) that we didn't have much room for the full ticket (large plate). Here is what we got: 1. AMINABAD KI GALOUTI KEBAB- Generally a favorite dish of mine but these were a bit too spicy for my palate 2. HALEEM- This was excellent. I would go back just for this 3. EMPIRE FRIED CHICKEN- we enjoyed this a lot and ordered a second round 4. KACHORI KADHI BHUJJE- it was okay...one person on the table liked it quite a bit. The rest of us thought it was just fine 5. BASKET CHAAT- this was very good We also had mango lassi which was very good For dessert we got: 1. KULFA- this was my favorite 2. CHUR CHUR MALAI DAL HALWA- this was everyone else's favorite Both desserts were good but not epic We also ordered chai and were thrilled with how it was delivered. Overall it was a fun experience and I would go back to try some other dishes
